Attention Studios, Small Theatres, and Photographers! Vincent Lighting Systems is proud to offer City Theatrical's Track Tamers. The Track Tamer is a piece of mounting hardware designed for hanging lighting or other gear from any 1-5/8" c-channel track (aka unistrut). Track Tamers allow the user ease, safety and flexibility in adjusting the fixture, by separating the track lockdown from the equipment lockdown. The deep grooves in steel head of the Track Tamer allow the fixture to be safely seated in the unistrut. The fixture can then be positioned on the track and locked down, to allow it to be focused without upsetting its position on the track.
Track Tamers can be used to hang equipment directly to unistrut and should be locked down with a wrench. However, the 521 model comes with a knob that will allow hand-tightening instead of a wrench. The Track Tamer 523 comes with an aluminum slipcover, which holds common 2" OD pipe to hang from the unistrut. Track Tamers have a working load limit of 500 lbs, and can be used with a variety of video/film-making equipment, even stage fixtures and some video and sound applications. Their use of stochastic screening techniques allows for detail which cannot be recreated using standard printing techniques.
Stochastic Screening is a technique that uses a random dot pattern, unlike conventional screening which uses a regular pattern of dots in straight rows. With stochastic screening, images are reproduced with no moires, rosettes or other effects. In short, you get finer detail and truer color. Although conventional screening is effective for many images, stochastic screening is a much better choice for others. In particular, it works best for small images showing fine, angular lines, smooth reflective surfaces and graduated tones.

The Digital DMX Remote is the most sophisticated of these devices. The timers are "real time" timers which can be set in exact one-second increments from one second to 10 minutes. An LCD display on the device will display the operational menu in any of six languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese or Italian). The LCD display also works with a rotary encoder to make setting the DMX address easy and precise. It also provides the user with "error" messages when the machine is running low on fluid or cannot find a DMX signal.
The Analog DMX Remote offers volume control, DMX control and on/off sequencers. The interface is analog using hardy switches and knobs to operate the machine. The DMX address is easily set from three rotary potentiometers, rather than the cumbersome dip switches commonly used. The unit has a red LED to indicate that the Delta 3000 is running low on fluid.
The Timed Remote is designed for those situations where the fog machine will always require an operator, such as industrial applications. It has the same local volume control and timers as the Analog DMX Remote. It also has the red LED for signaling that the machine is running low on fluid, plus other LEDs to let the user know if the machine is heating or ready for operation.
How many headaches originate from far upstage? The Altman Spectra Cyc may be the cure. Altman uses Red, Green, Blue, and amber LED's to give you accurate and intuitive control of color and brightness. Up to 10 units may be daisy chained to share a single power and data feed.

Rosco has introduced 3 new colors of paints to its Off Broadway and Super Saturated lines of scenic paints. The new colors include Payne's Gray, a deep dark grey named for watercolor artist William Payne; Brilliant Red and Imperial Green.
The new colors from Rosco will save painters time and hassle, making color mixing simpler and offering more out of the can colors to your palette. The Imperial Green, and Brilliant Red evoke Asian tapestry straight out of the can. Both colors also work well for giving the impression of dyed fabric. Scenic artists can produce authentic period military colors, or deep nature tones with very little mixing. In watercolor painting, Payne Gray is most often used in shading where black would be too strong, but can also be diluted to replicate faded textiles.
We've all done it. We need just a little more worklight during the production, So you grab sheet of blue gel, a roll of gaff tape, and begin the process of turning the carpenter's clip lights into running lights. At first it's everything we could hope for. The light is blue, and the carpenters are none the wiser.

6 circuit multi cables can save you time if they work. Unfortunately diagnosing problems with them can slow you down unless you're using the LEX LT-19P 6 circuit Multi Tester. The LT-19P can diagnose cable problems without removing the cable from it's position. Similar to other popular circuit testing tools, Lex's 6 circuit 19pin tester provides 3 indicator LED's for each circuit. Simply plug the tester into the business end of your multi cable to check for voltage, broken conductors, or even the dreaded "Spun Mult". The LT-19P's LED's are bright enough to illuminate your immediate workspace, and as with all LEX Products- the rubberized construction lends a ruggedness welcome to any application.
LEX products portable dimmers are perfect when you need to dim a big load, but have limited space available. The FD1-6K is protected by a 50A 1pole breaker, the FD1-12K uses a 100A 1 pole breaker and the FD1-24K answers to 100A 2pole breaker. All of LEX's portable dimmers offer DMX addresses 1-512, an onboard fader control, and a roadworthy design that will outlast many "portable" products. The 6K and 12K are passively cooled, while the 24K Portable dimmer adds quiet convection fans to keep heat at a minimum.

Vari-Lite is pleased to announce the new VL3500 Wash FX™ luminaire. This unit, exceeding an output of 50,000 lumens, is a remarkable wash luminaire that is also capable of acting like a spot luminaire.
In its color bulkhead, the VL3500 Wash FX™ contains one FX pattern wheel. This wheel contains four spring-loadable, rotatable and indexable 50mm glass patterns, along with one open position. The dual-wattage unit runs at either 1200W or 1500W and runs 900W in standby. The luminaire projects polished images with the ULTRA clear front lens which ships with the unit.

The VL3500 Wash FX™ luminaire features CYM color mixing, variable CTO color temperature correction, dual five-position color wheels, a separate dimmer, and an independent dual strobe mechanism.
"The VL3500 FX Wash luminaire contains the features that designers have loved since the release of the VL3500™ Wash luminaire," stated Vari-Lite Product Marketing Manager George Masek. "Designers saw the wide front face of the unit and knew then that the luminaire would be great for projecting effects when a clear lens was installed."

The multi-faceted luminaire includes three interchangeable front lenses (ULTRA clear, Stipple, Fresnel) to aid beam control.

This entirely new fixture from L&E is rated up to 750 watts, using the medium two pin (G9.5) lamp holder. With interchangeable lenses (narrow spot, medium flood, wide flood and very wide flood included), the Corona is light weight, yet rugged, and provides maximum flexibility. The 10" gel holders allow the use of standard accessories.
The Corona uses the GLC or GLA line of lamps, instead of the normal PAR64 lamps. All lamps are interchangeable.
