Control consoles, the "brain" of any lighting rig, come in varieties from suitably simple "hands on" controllers to sophisticated computer based lighting boards intended for show operation and automation. Vincent Lighting Systems has a wide variety of control options for your lighting environment.
12 Channel and 24 channel consoles are common "starter consoles", often employing traditional manual preset operation. DJ style lighting controllers are available for simple operation of conventional and moving lights. Larger control consoles provide access to more channels (over 1,000 channels on lighting boards that utilize 2 DMX universes). These lighting desks also include faders, encoder wheels, and touch panels to allow for intuitive control of intelligent lighting such as moving lights and RGB LED sources. Theatrical lighting consoles can operate a cue stack, triggering effects, and even deliver stage instructions to crew, but live event consoles are designed to give you quick access to groups of fixtures, color and template palettes, even prerecorded positions and effects. Wireless DMX is becoming more prevalent in control consoles(either built in or via wireless transmitters, wireless receivers, and transceivers) but we also provide a number of wired DMX distribution options including DMX combine units, DMX splitters, and DMX repeaters. 3pin DMX and 5 pin DMX cables are available; we can also provide translators and converters to allow older consoles or dimmers to work with newer lighting control and dimming technology by converting proprietary and antiquated analog protocols to the digital industry standard DMX protocol. We work with a variety of manufacturers to ensure we can provide a lighting control console to suit your application: NSI/Leviton, Leprecon, Lightronics, High End Systems, and Strand Lighting to name a few.
