Dimming Systems are the backbone of any theatrical or architectural lighting system. Whether permanently installed or placed on a temporary basis, Vincent lighting can help with sales and service of dimming equipment. Touring style dimmer racks and permanently installed dimmers can be found at concerts, in theaters, churches and schools, while smaller dimmer packs and intelligent raceways can be used to augment existing systems or combined to create distributed dimming systems.
Permanent dimmer racks of 48, 96, or more channels can be found mounted to walls, or tucked away in dimmer rooms in numerous venues. Portable racks are popular with traveling shows and clients with limited resources who may have to move their dimming system from venue to venue, allowing them to take 12, 24, or more channels on the road. Distributed dimming systems (typically 6-12 channel dimmers) including truss mount dimmers and intelligent raceways put your dimming system right on the batten or truss that supports your lighting fixtures. Many churches, schools, and clubs deploy "shoebox dimmers", often 4 channel but up to as many as 8 channels, for both temporary and permanent dimming solutions. DMX dimmers utilize a digital signal from the console to alter brightness of lighting on stage or in display applications. Older dimmers using analog protocols can often be upgraded to accept modern control signals. Older control protocols can be translated to DMX via a converter in line to the dimmer. Depending on your application we can provide single channel dimmers, manual dimmers, wireless dimmers, and a number of devices that support non-DMX protocols including LPX, MPX, AMX, and 0-10v operation.
