Foggers are used when a stronger thicker cloud of smoke or fog is required. Fog machines, often called smoke machines in fire training, can provide a variety of effects depending on the fog fluid used. Some effects fluids are designed for longer hang time, quicker dissipation, or faster expansion. Low lying fog effects are typically achieved by use of a chiller unit or a machine designed to sublimate CO2 based dry ice into cool thick ground fog. Specific fog/ smoke fluid formulas can be recommended for your stage fog or emergency services training application.
